and even if they hadn't, don't you think your time would be better spent writing to their customer service rather than making this thread and wasting innocent people's time?
release them leather a la ipad cases for the 11" air as you had in the previous models, I 've already bumped the lower lid on the back four times.....
Try look at http://www.vajacases.com - your 11" MBA case is there and has been so for months !!!!

btw, before starting to bitch, you might try giving accurate information, they only have a sleeve called Premium Leather Sleeve
for Apple MacBook Air 2 11'', no cases like the ones I am referring to...

if you're looking specifically for a "leather a la ipad case"...good luck.
Actually, PDair makes a leather (folio style) case for the 11" MBA: http://www.pdair.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=10900000_11000225_11001076&products_id=31763. I have one and am very happy with it. I have a Vaja case for my iPad (folio style - Agenda I think) and absolutely love it. I really wish Vaja made a folio style case for the MBA instead of the sleeve, which I don't care for.
I wrote to them and requested that they make a MBA case just like the iPad one that I already have but I'm not holding my breath. I did this the same day they came out with the sleeve, right after I saw it. Maybe, just maybe......

I am aware of the pda case, it's just not up to my standards on aesthetics... it was the first one out, very quickly...very strange how since then we 've seen close to nothing. Is it that hard to make? Don't they expect that after the success of cases that open up (a la ipad) a leather case/shell would be great for the air? Except if there are issues in coming up with one due to airs design...who knows...it's strange like I said. This was the no. 1 priority for me to buy, and it's more than 3 months since I got the air and nothing is on the horizon...

1. i never called your thread inane, nor did i call you stupid but if that's how you would have it/you described, i won't argue with you.
2. the vaja site has products for both the new and the old MBAs. this should be obvious since there is only one 11" model (aka the new MBA). so this part of your post:
doesn't really make sense to me.
3. others have pointed out to you (and it seems that you were already aware) that there are some leather cases out there, and vaja has a product for the 11" Air. just because they aren't up to your "standards of aesthetics" doesn't mean you should start a thread about it. it means no one really cares about your "standards of aesthetics".
4. cases for ipads and laptops are going to differ significantly. this should also be obvious. first of all, you have to open up laptops to use them. then, you got the fact that there are keyboards in laptops...heat/fans issues...weight/form factor...etc..
5. i apologize if you think i was berating you. initially, i was just puzzled about the point of your thread. and it was my honest opinion that your time would have been better spent writing to vaja themselves rather than to people who really have no control and/or interest in such things. that was initially...
