Well I had the 3G/3GS since launch. Got a little bored towards the end of last year. Switched to tmobile and the blackberry bold. Loved it for a good while. But now i realize how much the iphone really can too disregarding it's shortcomings (at least in 3.xx). The apps, support, awesomeness of use is just unmatched. I thought maybe go to android but still..I don't feel like it'll replace the experience of using an iphone. I thought when i switched "psh I probably barely use most of these apps", but man there is an app for EVERY situation in your life lol

2 things i really came to blackberry for was multitasking and bbm. Well the multitasking thing is out of contention now as 4.0 is upon us. BBM is really cool. Really helpful. You can do more than what you can do in texts and faster. There's not that text delivery delay u get sometimes with your texts, and it tells you when the other person got your message/read it. I love bbm, but I don't think that alone will keep me on the blackberry platform. Sure i got bored of the icon interface of the iPhone, but I won't get bored of what those icons can do i think

Just wanted to give my little denial story in switching away from this baby. I'll hopefully go back to AT&T soon and re activate this iphone..then get a replacement cuz i have a big crack on it :p :/

EDIT: so apparently where/when the crack occurred matters. It's a hairline crack by the docking port, which occurred about a month ago. I switched away from my iphone a few months back and have used it as my ipod ever since. So..no it wasn't broken when i switched, so thats irrelevant to why I switched.

Admit the truth.

You had an iPhone and for some reason it got broken, so you let your stupid friends talk you into getting a blackberry on T-Mobile and you tried it out because they tell you how awesome it is, but you knew all along it sucked and are fighting to come back.

So many people switch away from the iphone thinking this phone or that OS is better but they keep comming back.
I tried many phones out there but Im never leaving the iphone OS.
Just by playing around with other phones like BB, droid etc.. I can tell they cant even come close to the user experience of an iPhone.

lmao uh no. My iphones in great condition, while I've been using it as my iPod since i switched it's developed a crack by the 30 pin connector. My dad and I both looked at tmobiles prices and saw them to be fair and we switched. He switched back and now after trying to keep on liking blackberry OS i can resist my iphone just sitting there with no service lol

Also with my ipad now, if I jb my iphone and put mywi I can get 3G on the road :)

The exact same thing happened to me (except on a different network). Luckily I sold my 3G and got a good price for it on eBay. I hate this damn BlackBerry Curve 8900 and I figured out a way for my network (O2) to switch me to a new iPhone in June/July.

If you are thinking of going to a BlackBerry, don't. Yes, the super fast push emails and BBM is good, but there are far better alternatives and better choice on the iPhone.

Apple nailed it on the head. They got the whole 'phone' concept right the first time and now everyone is trying to catch up.

where did you possibly come up with that story? why would the OP lie about something like that in their situation? don't just assume things

The guy was half-joking, relax.

But the OP's real situation isn't too far from that story; almost everyone I know who's switched to the iPhone would never go back, and those who have regret it.

Read his story. All the info is there. You need to learn to be more perceptive.

Notice how he said he switched to the blackberry because he got bored, but when he went to switch back to his iPhone, the iPhone had a broken screen.

That indicates the truth is the reason he switched was not due to boredom but due to the fact that he had a broken screen. If his friends all had iPhones like he did, they would have convinced him to get it fixed/or get a new one.

Instead his friends convinced him to go the BB route. I am guessing because it was cheaper and at the time he was low on funds.

Regardless, I didn't make anything up, I just properly assembled the story told by the Original poster.

I have been trying to decipher what people mean when they say something online for almost 30 years... Not like thirty years, but 29 years plus some change. I have gotten fairly good at determining how, what, why people say certain things and phrase them in a certain way or couch them in a certain way.

It doesn't matter at the end of the day, the guy just wants to come back to the iPhone. Which is fine by me.

I'm thinking about getting rid of my iPhone. The novelty wore off and i'm sick of seeing everyone and their brother's having one. I actually use a lot of what the phone has to offer, but I guess i'm just sick of seeing every other person with one now. Plus the old bootrom JB and unlocked 3GS' like I have are going for $$$$$ on ebay.

Why does it matter to people if others have an iphone too?
Obviously if its a good product it will be popular and many will purchase it.
Do people expect to be the only ones with it and get mad when they see others using one too? I dont get this type of logic......
Its a cellphone, not a diamond ring.

Bad idea.

Except your wrong lol like i previously posted the crack is a hairline crack on the back of my iPhone that only surfaced like a month ago from plugging into the 30 pin (the cracks right above the dock port). So the iphone was in perfect condition when I switched. Also, no friend of mine had a say in me switching. I don't know where you came up with that, but it was solely my decision to switch. And yes, it was more so due to boredom than anything else.

The crack on the back of my FUNCTIONING iphone is irrelevant to my story.
