So, if you use Safari and have Tabs enabled, well, you know that line where the tabs part ends and the page begins? I can see a line on my screen from where that is! I've been noticing it for a few weeks, and, today, I decided to move my Safari window down a little bit and to the right of the screen. No line-- until a few minutes ago. WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN?

Oh, and for the record: 17" iMac G5 ALS.

Does the line extend across the entire width of the screen? If so, I had the same problem on a brand new toshiba laptop not too long ago, and I promptly took it back, since it was occuring since day 1... Sounds faulty to me.

Are you saying you're getting temporary burn in? If so, that's nothing to worry about on LCDs because it'll eventually disappear. :)

I didn't even start using tabs until a few months ago (out of the two years I've had it.)

So, will it ever become permanent?

The burn in I'm talking about shouldn't just happen with the tabs line though. I notice it with my Menu Bar when I log in. When you get it, maybe log back in and then out again to see if the Menu Bar is also burning in and that may be some indication as to whether your problem is burn in. Also, does it turn up in a screenshot? If so, then the problem isn't burn in.
