Ok, Im Ready To Buy This, Kirikae!

I know it's free but this app deserves a price, a price I will be happy to pay.
I just wish the Dev would make this options.

1: When opening Kirikae I would like to see a alphabet A-Z on FAVORITES. That way I can click the letter of the app I want and go there fast instead of scrolling.

2: When I click on favorites the keyboard pops up, so all I will need to do is type the first 2-3 letters and I found my app!

Either or both would be great, hope the Dev adds these soon.
Btw, anyway to contact him direct?
 
The developer (Lance) has been continually improving this app and I'm sure he's not done yet. Sounds like you want a search like that we got with OS 3.1. I think that's overkill, but if you want it put on the request. Sounds to me like some has too many "favorites".

I love this app and use it all day long. If it stayed just as is i'd be happy.

I have my kirikae set to home button pressing ONE TIME. So, if I can have ALL my apps as favorites why not! One home button press I can switch apps and choose other apps I want to run. No more going to the "destop" on the iphone or flipping pages side by side looking for apps, specially apps I cant remember their "correct" spelling for the universal search your talked about.

Why use that search when I can just use one which will be karikae. Its really HOW one uses kirikae. If its something YOU dont need oh well, I sure can use it and I'm sure others may feel the same.

Its an iPhone task manager. The thread has the name 'Kirikae' in it. If you HAD searched you would have found it in the search.

Just saying lol.

Why do people have to always stick their nose and post SEARCH......
If you don't like the thread and don't want to help the person, there's something called a back space key on your keyboard.

And besides did you read what he wrote "Besides, I was just showing how great this app is that I would pay for it."

didn't YOU "search" his post? Now I LOL!

I have only one problem with that. Searchable means, slower.... the app itself is made for speed for switching between apps. A search would just slow it down.

You can't possibly open that many apps in a days time. I like the way it is. Just pay attention to which ones you open in a days time and just add those 4 or 5. Anymore add ons to that app will make it bloated and then it will suck, imo.

@ "2"- You can do that with spotlight search from springboard. Wouldn't that be a waste to add that to kirikae?

From what he was saying is that with many apps using spotlight would be hard to find an app if you can't remember the exact name. If spotlight had a-z it would make it better.

Absolutely not a waste! Being able to hit a key and just start typing to launch an app is an extremely efficient way of getting to something :D

Compare having to go to home, maybe having to get to first screen (swipes or button), then having to get to spotlight (another swipe or button press), then wait for keyboard to come up... :p

ALSO, kirikae's list of potential things that would come up would be MUCH smaller than spotlight's (only dozens of possibilities vs many hundreds to thousands), so it would be faster and you would have to type less to get to your choice!

So I would use spotlight as it's intended (search EVERYTHING on the phone), and kirikae for searching through/immediately launching just apps! And yes, would pay for it :D
