is it a sound like a stick/baseball card in the spokes of a bicycle wheel? if so, mine does that and I am sending it in.

Do you mean while moving the computer? Because my tibook if i pick it up and move it around the fan makes a strange noise. Ive pretty much attributed this to centrifigul(sp?) motion. Its like if u take something spinning and hold it in ur hand, then rotate ur wrist, you feel resistence. Thats the same thing happening with the fans.
Mine did that. I went to System Preferences -> Mouse and ticked the box that said "Eat Cheese" and then placed a slice of Kraft in the SuperDrive. That worked.
My complaint is that I threw my MacBook up in the air and it landed on the concrete floor breaking into a gajillion pieces. Piece of crap, I'm taking it back.

Mine did that. I went to System Preferences -> Mouse and ticked the box that said "Eat Cheese" and then placed a slice of Kraft in the SuperDrive. That worked.

Do u know how to read?? First off i wasn't complaining i said. I was simply stating what my computer was doing and wondered if it happened to anyone else. Ummm for one it is called a laptop so it is meant to be placed on my lapt (which in turn sometimes people move while seated) Use your brain man.
Is it a black macbook? If so, I've seen several of those (don't ask me why the black ones seem more prone to this...) that squeak like that, usually because the display bezel is ever-so-slightly misaligned and the bezel plastic touches the main unit. Apple will readjust if you ask them nicely...
You're not the only one to have this comment. And others have been rather annoyed by it, so I'd take it to an Apple Store or just call them. Others have had this fixed, so should you (if its buggin' you).

Technically apple no longer labels the macbooks (macbooks and macbook pros) as laptops, but as notebooks, partially because of the heat, but anyways... I guess for people who do have macbooks, maybe if you could try to pinpoint where the noise is coming from and let us know. I guess what other people are saying it's one thing to move your legs around with the laptop around, and it's another bouncing your legs around. Bouncing the laptop around is much more movement than just shifting around and stuff like that. One thing is does it happen a lot when you have your macbook in your lap? But I guess the person who posted last has a good point, maybe your laptop screen is a little misaligned, and the fact that it's being bounced around is causing the parts to squeak around. Just bring it into the store (if it's under warranty) and i'm sure they can diagnose it and maybe find a suitable situation to fix it, if you want to.

But i didnt actually notice any noise myself, although I have a 15 inch MBP.
