Ok just tried the jailbrake on my 64gb wifi and it hangs at the apple and itunes freezes when syncing. Anybody know of a fix other than a restore because my internet is limited to 250mb for 24hrs (d***it hughesnet)

Did you have iTunes closed or open when you ran the Spirit application?

Mine got stuck at the spinning wheel for 20 minutes and I had to restore. Not bricked though, thankfully.

Same question to you...did you have iTunes open when you went to jailbreak it?

You oughtta just restore it and wait a bit. Don't get so crazy, friend.

Well I would restore but did you read that i only have a 250mb per day limit on my internet? the restore is almost 500mb!

Whats the point of all this jailbreaking? Is it mainly for software piracy?

No, I would say that is the least of the draw, at least for me.

The point is to be able to do some things that Apple does not allow, such as multitasking, tethering, and easier access to settings.

Well you got a MBP and a Dell Mini so I suggest you find a place that has free wifi and do some restoring :)

You sound like you don't really want anyone to suggest how to fix your problem. If it was that important 15 minutes to town isn't that big of a deal.

I believe the .ipsw file is saved on your computer somewhere, then just do a shift+restore or option+restore depending on your OS, find the file and restore.
