So I was really foolish and went to do my first sync with the apple TV and my new imac (to which I have migrated from my old imac) wirelessly. It is taking FOREVER and I'd like to stop it and wire together and start again.

I'm just worried I'll screw something up if I do this. There's no "stop syncing" button so I think I'd have to quit iTunes to make it stop. Is this going to cause any problems for my Apple TV or would it be ok with this?

Thanks in advance for the advice!

seems ok

Well I didn't get any responses so I just quit iTunes and used an ethernet cable between the computer and the ATV and it appears to simply pick up right where it left off . . . 6 gazillion times faster. . . I'll post if there's any problems when it's done.

If I had seen this I would have replied. But you found out the answer. It does just fine.

I have all of my video/audio gear on Ethernet, gigabit to be exact, and do not use wireless for anything except browsing. If I need to watch Netflix on laptop or download software, or, if on my desk, always plugged into Ethernet. Wireless just does not cut it for me.
