Hi there

Is the iPad Pro comparable to a laptop when it comes to using it while it‘s charging or is it not good for the battery?

The internet is divided on this one. I would say that it depends on what you do.

If your battery can still normaly charge while you're working on the device (e.g. background music, note taking, light browsing, e-books or audiobooks) then you're fine.

But if your battery is charging and draining at the same time (e.g. gaming or any other workflow using 80%+ of the resources) then expect that the health of the battery will decline faster.

I've never worried about this with any device, nor will I start to. I doubt it will have any significant negative effects.

There is nothing to worry about in my experience. I use the iPad anytime I want, charging or not. I’ve had half a dozen or so different iPads and have not felt or experienced any side effects of using the device when charging. Besides of course Apple would point this out on their support website if it were different to a laptop.
