After searching 8 pages of MacRumors threads with the mention of "Joswiak", Googling, and generally boggling my own mind, I figured I'd finally ask the question I've never known any sort of answer to when it comes to Apple...

Greg Joswiak... That's his actual name? His family is The Joswiaks?

I've always wondered, is this guy a crazy Jobs+Wozniak fan who changed his name? Was he just so perfectly named that Apple hired him based on that alone? Did he, during the interview, get instant-hire approval from Steve?

I wanted to know if anyone had a backstory of Greg Joswiak, and that insanely great last name. :)

It's just a last name. It's of Polish origin, and a variant spelling of Jozwiak according to Ancestry.com. I'm not sure what you find so fascinating about it, I've definitely seen weirder.

Simply the fact that this guy has a last name which is the perfect combination of Jobs and Wozniak, the 2 co-founders of Apple, and just happens to work at Apple, all makes one very interesting coincidence. At least to me.

It's not really the fact that it's weird. It's weirdly interesting. Like if my name were Ronald, and I worked at McDonald's, or if my name were Michael Bolton just by chance.
