for background info:
same wifi, same room and same settings

When playing PUBG (which I normally use to test this device’s power) everything was smooth until recently, when I suddenly noticed heavy frame drops at the start of the gameplay especially, and then disappear as the game goes along. No exaggerated heating though, just the usual warmness. This frame drop thing did not happen a week ago or I would have noticed, it’s a recent thing. I also tried to run an Antutu test to compare the results to the ones I had from before and here are the results:

Overall score BEFORE: 627066
Overall score NOW: 617513

cpu score BEFORE: 185940
cpu score NOW: 186735

gpu score BEFORE: 260536
gpu score NOW: 268693

mem score BEFORE: 86700
mem score NOW: 68737

ux score BEFORE: 93890
ux score NOW: 93348

The only difference I seem to see is on MEM.

I tried to recall anything that might have caused this; I take my case off and only quite a lot and it is very tight, the other day while taking it off I heard a ‘crack’ when taking the case off, it didn’t sound nice lol but I couldn’t see what could have caused the noise, the display didn’t come out of the frame (what I thought caused the noise) so I just assumed the silicone case somehow bounced back onto the side of the iPhone and thought nothing of it (I also had a skin around the sides and back, making the case even harder to remove). Now I’m thinking this is actually a wifi related issue, can the wifi antennas be damaged externally? The lines on the sides of the iPhone also conduct wifi signal, don’t they?

I will attach a video of the frame drops I’m talking about as I managed to capture it.

It might not be a bug with your phone…..but PUBG may have been updated behind the scene that caused some sort incompatibility with your phone??

I checked already, I have automatic updates off so none of my apps can update in the background without me doing it manually which I haven’t
