Do you use old apps basically apps that haven't been updated in a long time ?

I'm using NOAA Weather Radio, which has NOAA weather alert notifications. Hasn't been updated since March 2014. Since November it's been really squirrelly...sending 30 notifications for the same event. I emailed the developer mid-December and he said an update was coming "very soon". I'm going to remind him of that again right now.

No its ok. My fault sorry.

No not that old but I tend to be still using a few old apps (games) that haven't been updated since e.g. 2014.
Luckely still some of these app still work with the latest iOS10.2.1 because there are no alternatives like it such as PayaPaya my favorite PuyoPuyo alternative.

I'm using some apps that were last updated to support the iPhone 4's retina screen in late 2010. They work for the most part, odd UI glitches and missing buttons with the occasional freeze. But they work for what I want them to do.

Lots of tap tap revenge games. Namely the Coldplay release on an iPod touch still running 2.2.1. I also have lots of old ones on my currently active 3GS that was on iOS 4.0, but I finally moved to iOS 6 to get slightly more up to date versions.

I have hundreds of old apps no longer on the store that are still in my iTunes library and can by sync'd to older devices running old firmware. Stills works just fine. Many work on iOS 2.x and 3.x. Most don't work on iOS 7 or 8+, much less iOS 10. Particularly any of the pre-retina apps.

By don't work I mean don't open at all, crash, or don't even respond to touch.

Dug up a screenshot from 2010 back when music games were still a big thing. Man I miss a lot of those, servers have since been shut down and previously purchased songs are long gone. That's the digital age for you.

Ah yes, Tap Tap Revenge. I love that, still have the first one on my iOS 10 device. Works very well still.

Always cool to share old screenshot :)

I could find this one from me from March 2010 with a few of my favorite video and music apps on my iPhone 3Gs.

[doublepost=1485958323][/doublepost]I just noticed this news that Apple will stop offering support for apps that were orginally created for 32bit devices.
I now wonder if this also has affect on me if I would update my iPhone 5s and iPad mini2 to iOS10.3 or newer when it has been released and no longer get the note with older apps like the ones below that your device could be slow but that it would result in the apps no longer being working on your device. Or is this only connected to the App Store availability of such old apps?

Kids apps I still use: KoeDoetBoe 2013, Kinderliedjes - May 2014 and the game review app TouchArcade (November 2013).

Interesting research by app analytic company Sensor Tower which said that: 'Apple could kill almost 200,000 apps (8% of apps in App Store) with iOS 11' might possiblity no longer worker when you update your iDevices to iOS11 which is covered in this Mashable news post.

I did notice that Apple did warn the developer 30 days before the would remove an app to update their app back in September/October 2016.

*I also posted this message earlier in this Macrumors news topic as well in regards to this.
