Hi Guys,

I have a weird one..

My Laptop recently died and I lost a fair few photos in the process. Due to the method of dying, none of my laptop data was recoverable.

These photos however were still on my iphone. I actually copied them off the iphone onto my new laptop by copying them to the photostream.

However I cannot figure out how to now delete them off the iphone. After syncing with the new laptop, the albums in question vanished! but... looking at the summary bar at the bottom of Itunes, it still says there's 1200 photos. The photo app is empty (all but the camera reel) and no folders are ticked in itunes!

So these now phantom photos are taking up space on the phone! I have tried a full restore but their still there.

Any ideas? questions welcome

Check on the device in the albums section. There often is an album called recently deleted - iOS keeps the pictures in there for an additional 30 days before it deletes them for good. That might be the solution.
