Old email suddenly flooding into my accounts after being deleted.

Suddenly (using Sierra), I'm getting old email that I've deleted suddenly appears in my accounts. I'm wondering if it's being synced from iCloud. Today I went into iCloud and un-clecked "email." I don't remember asking email to be backed up in iCloud. Wondering if the installation of Sierra automatically checked it?

iCloud syncs your email settings across devices so you don't have to setup each time now. Which is a great convenience. Did you have that email setup on another iDevice, possibly one you didn't delete from your registered devices? You can go to iCloud.com and see all your registered devices.
