Hi,

New to mac, so please be kind.

I was excited by the launches yesterday, however I was wondering if the imac listed in the UK apple refurb store is now a good deal, it's on for £999 (saving £500).

What do you reckon?, thanks in advance.

Refurbished iMac 24-inch 2.93GHz Intel Core 2 Duo24-inch glossy widescreen display
4GB memory
640GB hard drive
8x SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 with 256MB memory
Built-in iSight camera

It won't come with a wireless keyboard or a Magic Mouse, it's a little slower, a little smaller screen (not as much as the measurements sound like) and a smaller HDD. It also has a slightly different design and lacks an SD card slot.

If the above things don't bother you and you are looking for the best bang for you buck, I'd say yeah, it's a rather good deal.

Thanks for your reply Chaszymr.

I am looking for as much bang for my buck as possible. Not too bothered about the points you mention so I think it may be the route for me to go down.
