Old iPad Air refuses to sync photos from pc to it what is wrong?

I tried both

It is on a older iOS version but not that much older scared 11.3 will slow it down a lot.

I think it is on 11.2.1 if I remember right.

Sure I do everything the app tells me and nothing ever happens when I click upload.

Well, it’s hard to diagnose random issues when you use third party solutions. iTunes is supposed to do the job without much hassles. We don’t know how these apps work internally, so help would probably be less in that sense.

Another way to do this may be iCloud Photo Library. Upload pictures there and then have your photos app on your Mac sync with iCloud too.
