Old iPad for 5 year-old

I went into the system folder general at the bottom picked reset to clear my 2011 iPad of all my stuff. Then started to set it up for my friend's 5-year-old. It wants his parents Apple ID. When they drop over on Sunday I will help them set it up. I do not want the 5-year-old to charge anything to my VISA card. I trust we can set this up to require a password that little Edward will not know.
