I installed iOS 8 on my iPhone 5s and used it up until the iPhone 6 came out. When I got my iPhone 6, I restored my old iPhone (twice) through iTunes to factory settings and sold it a week later.

The issue occurs when I login to the iCloud WebApp (i.e. http://icloud.com) and go to the settings section. Under the "My Devices" heading, I see all of my devices PLUS my old iPhone 5s. It shows me its IMEI and serial number. There is no option to remove it from the settings section anywhere. The phone does not show up in Find my iPhone nor is it linked to my AppleID in any way, shape, or form currently. I know this phone has been reset correctly and there's no way my AppleID is still on the device, so why would iCloud still be listing it?

Has anyone else experienced this? I called Apple about it and the advisor I spoke to seemed clueless about the issue and couldn't solve anything. Supposedly it was escalated to a senior advisor but I haven't heard anything back and this was weeks ago.

You're aren't the only one. Same issue and called apple about it but nothing. Not the end of the world but would definitely like to clear the devices I no longer have. Hope we find a solution

There's a long thread about this same issue in the Apple Support Community, apparently several other people are experiencing it as well. Someone was able to solve the issue but it requires having the phone present with you, which I do not.

It's not a big deal that the phone's still listed but when I first saw it I was freaked out because I thought I had sold my phone to a stranger with my iCloud account still set up on the device.

Same problem here, but for me it is an old Apple TV showing up in iCloud settings. I logged out of that appletv entirely and have since changed my icloud password, but it still shows up in settings.

Reading some similar posts on the Apple discussion forums, it seems that some people were advised by Apple agents that the devices should disappear after 90 days. Time will tell I guess.

I have the same issue with an iPhone 5S that was wiped as per official process yet still appears under settings on icloud.com.
