I’m curious can I purchase a Canadian iTunes gift card from Amazon.ca and then use it to buy a movie only available on iTunes Canada, *question part two... will the purchased movie show up in my regular Apple ID library or is there going to be a big issue?
Thanks for any help.

You need a Canadian Apple ID to make purchases on the Canadian iTunes Store. I believe it'll only appear on the ID used to purchase it.

Huh, I was doing some research on google, is it possible Apple changed that in the past couple years? Someone said I just need to switch my country but have to purchase with currency from that country. Man I hate all this copyright crap.
Thanks for your help. :)

Only the Canadian store will accept the Canadian gift card and it will only allow purchases from a Canadian ID.

It can be done but you'd have to create another ID to buy and watch it.

Interesting that was not mention on Apple’s site when I looked it up... I feel so lied to and manipulated. ;) lol jk
Here's a picture of what happens when you try to make a purchase in the wrong region:

Yeah, I’m stuck in the Canadian store right now. So if I try to purchase a movie it will bump me back to the US?
How do I always get myself into these situations. ;)

*it worked... man this sucks, so is the best option just to make another Apple ID?

You can change the country of your account, but I'd strongly recommend against it, since you'll lose access to some or even all of the content you acquired in the US store. You'll also run into trouble if you have any subscriptions (such as Apple Music).
