(I can't really search for ".mac" as it doesn't see the ".". Is there a way around this?)

Once upon a time I had a .mac account. It looks like I set it up when setting up iTools, and then I forwarded it to my then-main email addy.

Is it possible this account still exists? Did it get migrated to a mobile.me account or something?

I never used MobileMe but now with iCloud I'm wondering if I could use that account (or whatever it is turned into) for some lists.

BTW I've searched through Eudora and I don't see that I ever received any emails from it through the forwarding.

Thanks!
Diane

As I recall, iTools was free. When it became .Mac it went to a paid service. So unless you have been paying for .mac (which later became MobileMe) all this time, then that account is long gone.

Nope, didn't pay a penny!

So what are my options now with iCloud etc? Are there free accounts these days?

Yep... iCloud is free if you own an iOS device. Just go to the iCloud section in settings and sign up for an account.

OK I do have iCloud set up but it's set up through an old email. I can do it through a .me or something?

Thanks again :)

When you signed up for iCloud it should have asked you to select a new email address. You can set forwarding options etc at iCloud.com.

Ahhhh I have to turn on Mail in iCloud on the phone. So it let me pick an email and I guess it took it. I'll see where this gets me but I may be back. I can see it in the advanced settings though!

Thanks :)
