Hi!

I picked up a old mac mini from work today, its a mid 2007 model with 1.86 core 2 duo. It seems to be able to handle 1080p mkvs, but I have not been able to fully install codecs, plex and such.

However, I have a 7200 rpm 2.5" disk lying around, can I install this? The current default internal disk stops at around 40 r/w, so whats my options here?

Since I only have a 720p HDTV, I figure this would be a nice HTPC!

If you can't install Plex, I'm not sure changing the hard drive will fix that - unless the problem is your hard drive is full. I would figure out why you can't install Plex first.
