I remember the apple website used to have a special downloads website which had downloads for various pieces of software, including many games. I loved this site to pieces and found many good games there

However, unfortunately it doesn't exist anymore (or at least it is well hidden). There were two games which I am trying to look for again but completely forgotten the name of them.

One of them had a very awesome techno soundtrack and you would have to spin the entire maze stage to get the ball to the finish, but if you touched a wall, you would die. I used to play the free trial all the time on my mom's old iMac running an early version of OS X... but we sold it a couple years ago :( (I think the game may have been one of those pre-installed demos)

The other game I can't remember that well, but you played as a red bullish person and you had to transverse this flat 3D world sort of thing...

Does anyone remember these at all? If so, what are they called x3

In fact, if anyone knows where there is an archive of that page, I would be super happy, would be interesting to have a look back on it. I used to spend ages on my dad's Powerbook G4 (which he gave to me after the hinge snapped) and my mom's old swivel iMac during the evening or just a rainy weekend. oh, the joys of being a child when you had absolutely no responsibility and the consequence of 'forgetting' to do homework was so little x3

Are you thinking of Marble Blast? I remember that game being installed on one of my older Macs at one time. My kids enjoyed it a lot.

I looked at marble blast and it is similar, but doesn't seem quite the same. I remember the game being calmer and less arcadey. And that one wasn't pre-installed, I found it on the Mac Downloads site when that was still existing

BTW, I found the other one, it was called Spin Crisis :)

Neverball? I remember that being bundled with various Macs.

No it wasn't Neverball, the one with the red ball I am talking about was more like Marble Blast and wasn't pre-installed. You could control the ball directly and you could also jump, I remember there being a lot of blue

Really wish Apple archived the downloads site :(
