I deleted two sets of Podcasts shows which I had unsubscribed from, the Podcasts disappeared from my Mac, they vanished from my two iPod's, but they still remain on my TV, despite the fact that the MacBook has had a FULL re-install of Mac OSX TWICE, and that the TV has been restored TO FACTORY SETTINGS more than 5 times ever since.

Yet the Podcasts have not been removed from the system!

Any help would be great!

maybe try (i'm just guessing here)...

resubscribing to the offending podcasts on itunes on the computer your ATV is synch-ed to, and then manually de-selecting those podcasts during synching.

I assume what you are suggesting however, is that the content on your ATV is different than the content on itunes on your synched computer? Do you do an auto synch or manual synch? If that's the case, I'm not sure what the solution would be it.

I do an auto sync with my Apple TV - so I'll re-subscribe to the Podcasts then delete them.

Although, the Podcasts were from a URL, not on the iTunes Store - so I don't know If I'll be able to find the URL again!

I'm a little confused as to how your put podcasts on your ATV from an URL. As far as I know, you can only get podcasts on your ATV 4 ways:

1. Stream directly to ATV from the itunes store (won't put anything on your ATV hard drive)
2. Download directly to ATV from the itunes store (WILL store on your ATV hard drive)
3. Synch the podcasts from your itunes computer library (WILL be stored on the ATV HD)
4. Stream from itunes to ATV (will NOT store on the ATV HD)

With methods 1 and 4, no podcasts should end up on your ATV. With both 2 and 3, as long as those podcasts aren't part of your synch, they should be erased.

By "Adding the URL" I mean subscribing to a Podcast URL in iTunes and not a Podcast which is in the iTunes Store - you can go to Advanced -> Subscribe to Podcast in iTunes.

The Podcasts then get synced across to my iPod touch & video and the TV - and even though I have deleted these Podcasts from the iTunes Library,t hey still appear on the TV
