I'm wanting to find 80's type games that were available on the Mac. I remember playing things such as Lode Runner on my Apple IIe and would love to revisit them. Anyone know of a good place to find a wide assortment of them? Thanks.

While I don't know where you can find copies of old games to play on your Mac, I can tell you that Lode Runner is available on XBox Arcade as well as on the iPhone. It's an updated version of the game, though, and not the original stick figure graphics.

I'd love to be able to play Karateka, Choplifter, Skyfox, Track and Field, and other classics on my Mac. Anyone remember the dungeon crawler Wizardry? I loved that game. It came on something like five 5.25" floppies.

I remember Wizardry as well as Track and Field. I think I ruined my keyboard on it! Ever play Ancient Art Of War? I was addicted to that game for a while. I wonder if the Ultima Series was released for Mac??

Thanks savvos!!!

Oh, and I found Ultima II and III on there. Sweeeeet. Will Snow Leopard be able to play games that are listed as "For Mac OS 6 - Mac OS 9"??

look into Sheepshaver... somewhere is a yahoo group that has a dmg you can just download (will save enormous time, since it is already set up).

most all of the really old Mac games like these.. you can find DOS version on abandonware sites... then run them through DOSbox super easy and runs great.
