Wait it out a bit and see what Apple release in the next few days to know for sure. If the air is a bit smaller, I cannot see how the old cover will fit.

I'm checking and comparing the specs:

iPad Air Height: 9.4 inches (240 mm)

iPad 4th Gen Height: 9.5 inches (241.2 mm)

iPad Air Width: 6.6 inches (169.5 mm)

iPad 4th Gen Width: 7.31 inches (185.7 mm)


Yep, our trusty smart covers have been rendered obsolete. But don't worry, you can get Apple's slabs of leather/plastic for only $80 to replace it.
