Old Stock Space Grey edition Magic Mouse from a retailer or a new White edition one from Apple ?

I have a problem with my space grey magic mouse 2018 edition. The mouse pointer doesn't move well - sometimes it doesn't move for long. It's been like this for more than a year. Because I'm not doing design / drawing work I'm been okay.

Thinking of getting a new one but the space gray edition is no longer available at most places. It is available at Croma nearby for $10 more than the white one available at apple.

Is the white edition in any way superior to the space grey version functionality-wise ?

It’s the exact same mouse with different colors, you will not gain or lose any functionalities by changing the color of the mouse. Take the one that you like the most!

But I mean to ask, why was the space grey version discontinued ? Only because of the colour or some other factor ?
