Ok, I know many have asked this, however I did not find the answer I wanted... My iMac G5 was having confusion problems and I was told by Macstation it was not worth fixing, so I bought a Mac Pro. I want to make my iMac into a screen for my Mac Pro. I would like to use the built in iSight too if possible. Yes, I want to hack it up and make holes in it if necessary. No, I don't want to sell it for parts or throw it out. It is more sentimental (bought it the day the G5s came out and it was great till it gave up.) Please indulge me without the insults.

LLSherLL, what exactly do you mean by "confusion problems"?

It kept thinking it was a PC.

@OP - I'm not sure that it can be done easily. If you do however find a method I would love to know. I'd be interested in doing the conversion myself.

Re: Confusion

It was losing files, which makes everything not work. It was the end when I tried to reinstall leopard and it decided it couldn't install, load or do anything. At first the hard drive was suspect but it turned out it worked fine, so I put it into my new pro. So I assume the problem is the board. About a year ago I had the power supply replaced which isn't really relevant here anyway.
