Older airpods New Firmware

I recieved my brothers old airpods I believe they are the first pair made. Is there any firmware that i could get a link to to make these oldies sound good again. Thanks and I think this website is fantastic.

AirPods update over Bluetooth from your iPhone so I'll bet they have the latest firmware version offered for the gen 1's.. Apple hasn't offered an update in years for the original AirPods (I believe the last version is 6.8.8) so the sound won't get any better.. Here's an article with info on the subject:
