Older Airport BaseStation as WiFi adapter for TV?

Hi, my patrents have just got a new Samsung telly and want to connect it to the internet for iPlayer and such. The WiFi adapter for it seems pretty expensive for what it does and they there is no neat or easy way to run an ethernet cable from the router to the telly. Could they use one of the white dome shaped airport BS to as a wifi bridge to the router?
