My parents have an older iPad, not sure which year, maybe 2018/2019, can't remember when I bought it.

Anyway, it's in a reboot-type loop. You see the Apple Logo, sometimes you momentarily see the login page for a second then is restarts and does that over and over.

I have tried plugging into my Mac, did a restore first, but no joy then I did a full reset which appeared to work but then returned to the loop.

Is there anything else I can try before I give up and bin it? Can't even switch it off just keeps going.

Maybe obvious, but did you do a hard restart (home and power button)? Otherwise before giving up, I'd take it to the Genius Bar at the local Apple Store (if you have one nearby). They have software and diagnostics that can often fix these issues, or at least diagnose if it's hardware related.

Yes tried that and evetything else I could find online. It’s very old, not going to waste any time on it. Will get them a new one.
