Hi folks. I have a 6500 & a 8600, which I'm trying to hook up a 17" Apple montior (the one that looks like the "iMac" computer unit), but it doesn't seem to work. It plugs in fine, but doesn't light up - come to life?

Can this monitor work on either of these, and if so, what do I need to get / buy?

You have the adapter correct? >.>

If it doesnt come on, check it with a known good PC or Mac.

If it still doesnt work, its a beautiful boat anchor.

Skip I wouldn't post your email on here because its more than likely that a spam bot will pick it up.

Is this the Monitor?

Or is it the LCD version?

Yeah, the 6500 and 8600 both use the DB/HD-15 port. An adapter is required to turn it into a VGA out. That should work for the Apple CRT but to use an old Apple LCD you're going to need an ADC port.
