iPhone X Oleophobic coating

Hello

The oleophobic coating on the glass is not permanent. Is there a way to replace that coating?

On the internet they sale nano liquid and other products which replace the coating. Is this the same physical stuff that Apple used?

It's just to know what kind of product Apple uses in compare the replacing coating available on the internet.

Just use a GOOD 3D curved edge to edge screen protector and you won't need to worry about it and it will literally feellikenothing is on the screen. Not sure why people are still so averse to screen protectors when so many excellent options exist?

I think if you tried to replace the coating with some nail polish brushed kit of some sort it would end terribly.

not anymore than the phones bare screen

benks 3d xpro, icarez 3d, arbalest, etc - do a search there are hundreds of threads on this

Never noticed the coating coming off or scratches with the last 2 phones I have owned. And I don't use screen protectors anymore. I say if your really want to mess up your screen appearance put a shield on it.

I'm not a fan of that dry slippery oleophobic coating on iPhones. Yuck. Phone is much nicer to touch once that stuff wears off. It's totally unnecessary.

I’m a fan of the spigen tempered glass. I have it on my Xs Max and love it.

It will wear off and for me a screen protector is not the answer as I hate them.

Just use your phone and do not worry about the coating.

The reapplication stuff seems to work for a week or so, and only if you do it very meticulously. I have found it much better (and cheaper) to just buy oleophobic coated screen protectors. Whatever they apply at the factory seems to last a few months at least.

Right, I think @Pipper99 understands that. I think the point was, if you provided links/feedback for your suggestions versus just telling them to ‘research it’, it’s much more informative and less dismissive when someone was asking for personal views

OP, Spigen is solid. I know some don’t prefer this brand, but in terms of being a tempered glass, it’s probably one the most popular in that respect.

I know how to do legwork on my own, pal, and I've read through a number of threads in the past including various reviews and opinions. I was hoping for suggestions that people in this particular thread have personally used. Thanks for your gracious help.

your phone has an oleophobic coating. Hoping to not wear it, you put on a horrific screen protector, without an oleophobic coating, just so your screen can be full of smudges. The oleophobic coating you paid for will be used by the next owner.

My screen protector isn’t horrific, can’t even tell it’s there.
