Would some residual massage oil on my fingers have affected or degraded the oleophobic coating on my XS? Somewhat of an OCD question, but I am who I am.

Screen protector with the same coating will have the same feel and it’s replaceable

Yeah. I'm asking about something that may or may not have happened already

It takes a long time to disintegrate. Maybe a year. Oils on your fingers won't wreck it, soaps & solvents will (alcohol). My coating is long gone and I think the screen is nicer to use without that dry-slime coating. Never a fan of it.

Gotcha. Thanks. So you are referencing any oil, not just oils from your skin, right?

Just wipe it with a soft damp (not dripping) rag wetted in water then polish clean with an old soft clean T shirt. That will get it as clean as can be and won't harm anything. I've had oil on my fingers from working on the car and got the screen slimed. It didn't hurt anything. Wiped off.
