OM System OM-1 review
It says Olympus on the front, but the OM System OM-1 is about the future, not the past. It may still produce 20MP files, but a quad-pixel AF Stacked CMOS sensor, 50 fps shooting with full AF and genuine, IP rated, weather sealing show OM Digital Solutions' ambition. See what we thought.

After several months of spec’ speculation, OM Systems (Olympus) announced the OM-1 today. Overall, I like a lot about what they did. While still at 20MP, it’s a new stacked sensor with significant CAF/tracking improvements, and more DR. Great battery life, top-notch WR, very similar to the very comfortable EM-1iii. Panasonic is also about to launch a new flagship M43 body in the GH6 later this month, so it’s an exciting time for we enthusiastic M43 shooters.
I’m not sure if I’ll spring for either body in the near term, but I’m quite tempted to jump all over the 40-150 F4. It’s pretty much exactly what I’ve been wanting for some time now. I have the 12-45 F4, and it’s a fantastic lens under the same concept of light, compact, good MFD, sharp, and top notch weather-sealing. Be still, my wallet!
