WHATS GOING ON!!!!

p.s i bought apple care on it to! i think i got a bad battery!!!

what you guys think?

i even have the apple battery logger profile installed so they can see what kind of ****** battery life i am getting from there product!

Here's a few questions to help us help you.

Did you have a 3G that you synced with the same iTunes before you got a 3GS?

When you setup your 3GS did you restore from a backup, or setup as a new phone?

If you answered yes to both of these questions that is most likely the problem. The iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3GS use different battery profiles, but if you setup a 3GS by restoring from a backup of a 3G you will be putting the 3G profile onto your 3GS causing dramatically decreased battery life.

Another problem could be if you have 3.1, this is leading to greatly diminished battery life.

SOLUTIONS

1. Restore your iPhone and setup as a new phone, not from backup.
2. Wait for iPhone OS 3.1.1, hopefully this will resolve some battery problems as well.

yes to having a 3g
and no to restore from back up, set up as new phone

i am thinking that its the phone, cause now its stuck on 71% for a good 1hr and ive been using it..... weird!!!

I have a 3G, also 5th replacement due to plastic cracks, and the current one is having baterry issues. I am charging it and shows full battery suddenly the screen goes black, and yesterday the battery went dead.
I normally charge it on the wall outlet 110V 60Hz, but now I'm in a country with 220V 50Hz, might be the reason without any justification.
I needed to charge it back using the USB cable to the laptop.
i'll be monitoring it and asking for a replacement one more time.
