I find most of the negative threads very helpful.

Many of the threads complaining about battery use have been countered with ways to get BETTER use.

you know what? i agree, i mean even for 1.0, besides that, it is a great phone and does more than any other phone i know...some of the whining is really uncalled for...like no wireless n...i mean serious, you think after 10 threads about not liking the key board people would stop...btw i love the keyboard

You're exact;y right though. This is a 1.0 product, and it is truly incredible. These far from perfect people doing all this bitching and moaning, need to stop expecting perfection ESPECIALLY in a 1.0 product! HELLOOOO!

Apple did a fantastic job on this phone and even though it lacks a few things, I love mine and it does what its supposed to do, very very well. And the few things missing, can be added with software updates. I am so confident in this purchase.

I'm very happy also. I think some complainers are frustrated because they want it to be perfect so that they can experience the iEuphoria right now. I empathize. It's a hassle to return a product and crawl back to the carrier you abandoned for the must-have phone. But like I said in my thread, do your research, folks.

A lot of things they're griping about could have been discovered right on this site. I am starting to suspect that some iPhone buyers/complainers are competing company employees who want to convince customers who are on the verge of leaving for the iPhone to stay. They can tell them what it lacks, how many customers have returned, and sell them on their own clunky phones with a stylus for surfing fast on WAP sites.

I was a skeptic before, but after having the device, I'm 100% sold. I'm thoroughly impressed...I could sit here and play with it non-stop, to the point that I have to tell myself to put it down.

Not only myself, but everyone who I let play with it is just amazed. They first start out with "I can't use it, you show me". Then I say, "No, you use it. Just do what you think you should do." Then you watch the look on their face as they are manupulating photos and music within seconds, without complicated steps or having to read a manual. This is the genius of the iPhone.

Apple has outdone themselves with a revolutionary product. How many phones do you think have EVER sold 500,000-700,000 devices in their first three days of release?? People are going to look back at this and remember when the mobile phone industry changed. All the complainers who don't get it will be left in the dustbin of history.

The iPhone as stated above is v1.0 Palm, Blackberry and all the others are not v1.0.... give peace a chance for goodness sake... even at v1.0 it totally kicks butt...

People have the right to their own opinions... with that being said, MY opinion is if you don't like it... instead of getting online to bitch about it why not hop in your car and be on your way to return it to get whatever device you think is so much better?

Now there's a fine line between trying to make bugs/flaws known and unjustified eRage. I'm totally cool with people trying to point out ways they think it could be better or chiming in to state that they also notice certain bugs but it's the people that make it a point to tell why a DIFFERENT device is SO much better that irks me. I don't need to be convinced to buy a different device, I'm happy with the one I have. If your Treo/BlackBerry/SideKick/Q/Whatever is so much more stable/feature rich/cool then just go back to that and leave us HAPPY iPhone users to enjoy OUR preference.

I've had all of the above mentioned devices (with the exception of the Q) and I can say, IMHO, they ALL have their flaws. NO device is perfect folks. Any quirks with the OS (such as the iPod music stopping while browsing) I'm sure will be fixed in the future via a firmware update. If you're peeved that it doesn't have EVDO or 3G speeds then bummer, maybe the iPhone isn't right for you.
