Does anyone have any experience using OmniFocus for school purposes (college)

I would like a system to setup when assignments are due, setup a to-do list for projects that can link with these assignment, email reminders?

Any program that can do this?

Thanks

OmniFocus could do this, except with the iPhone app theres no notifications other than the badge count.

I currently use a project for each class, then have the assignments under there. For big assignments you could create a new subproject with its own duedate and own subtasks (you'd need the desktop version to set up the sub stuff)

Do we know if there will be an update to the app to allow for notifications anytime soon? I like some of the other features that OmniFocus has.

Is there a better program for this currently in the app store? Is there a second best?

I'd email the OmniFocus team or post in their forums and ask about notifications. I asked about repeating tasks on the iPhone and they said "it will likely be added in future updates."

I think Things would be the second best, but I don't think it does notifications or subprojects

Repeat tasks can be setup on the desktop client of OmniFocus and will be detected on the iPhone and added at the set interval. Just like location can only be set on the iPhone, repeating tasks only on the client but recongnized on the iPhone.
Hope this helps
