I just got an Edirol UA-20 and the install instructions indicate that I need OMS or FreeMIDI already installed.

Which should I use and where do I find it?

Thanks

Neither.

Those are for OS9 only. OSX users Audio MIDI setup (applications/utilities).

You MAY need drivers for your MIDI interface if you have one, or for the keyboard itself -- I'm not sure. Check their website for downloadable USB drivers if it's USB.

A litte more info ...

I did find the OSX update to FreeMIDI but was not needed.

I went to the Edirol web sit and updated the UA-20 driver for OS X. That seems to be all I needed.

Now I can set the UA-20 as my sound-in from the Sound control panel or from GargageBand prefernces.

Now if I can just find a MIDI pickup.
