Hi everyone. I'm jailbroken on 6.1.2. Cydia says SHSH: 6.1.2 at the top, which I think means my blobs are saved. My phone is having problems and I need to restore and redo my jailbreak. Can someone direct me to a link that shows instructions on how to do this? I know 6.1.2 is no longer being signed so I need to go about this in a different way...

EDIT: I'm on an iPhone 5.

You might also want to list your device as well. If you have a A5+ device then you are out of luck. If you have a pre-A5 device (iphone 4, 3gs, ipad 2) then you should be able to do it using tinyumbrella, but I will let the other, more knowledgable people to give you advice, as I haven't needed to do it yet.

What device are you using? Can't give advice if we don't know. A5 devices and newer can only update to 6.1.3. There is absolutely no way you can install 6.1.2 on one of those devices. If you have an A4 device or older you might be in luck. Let me know. I think I have a link for iPhone 4 devices. Ill check my bookmarks for you. IClarified is a good place for guides too.

iPad 2 is a5...

Bumping an old thread here - and it seems I'm in the same boat.

I actually have a hardware problem with my iPhone 5 - I'm getting the issue where the rear camera produces pictures and video with 2 purple blobs.

I've read that this is a fairly common problem with the iPhone 5 and the Apple Store Geniuses can usually take care of it - but my phone's jailbroken (and I absolutely love it).

Do you guys think I can get by just bringing it in as-is? Complete with jailbreak? Or should I just cut my losses and restore the thing before I take it into the store?

Darnit - I'm not too up-to-date in the JB world and wish I would have backed up my device when I had the chance...

Make it look stock and put Cydia in a folder, hope for the best. That's all you could really do.

It sucks man, I'm in a similar position. Jailbroken iPhone5 with lots of dust under the camera lens that is affecting my pictures. I really want to bring it in and get it swapped for a new phone but then I loose my jailbreak. I also have a Pebble watch and love the fact that with my jailbreak I can have BTNotificationEnabler which pushes all notifications to the watch. If I restore my phone I loose all notifications to the phone except for sms/imessage... At this point I couldn't care less about the other tweaks but to loose that would mean an almost useless Pebble... I'm thinking I will wait until iOS7 gets closer to releasing and then I won't have too long to wait to get my Pebble notifications to work right as I believe iOS7 fixes this issue.

^ Yeah, that's kind of what I've been waiting for - but I got my phone on launch day - so my 1 year warranty is really running up in about a month.

I think I'll just bite the bullet - restore it and head into the store sometime in the next couple of weeks.

Hopefully iOS 7 will be coming out sometime in September...
