Hey all,

I installed the GM release candidate, but when I go to the App Store to try to update to release version, it's asking me to upgrade to Public Beta 6, which is actually older than the version I have installed.

See screenshots. Should I just download the retail release and install that way to get back to the normal release channel?

262e is not the GM candidate, it's public beta 5. You should download the full retail version from the App store and install that. The release version will not show as an update, you have to "purchase" it.

Just wondering, but ...

Did anyone keep the build numbers of both the golden master AND the release version?

Were they different numbers?

I have been using the golden master, and had run the 10.11.1 updater on it before the release version appeared.
That puts me at Build 15B22c currently.

Is this a "higher build number" than the final release?
