Can I run the update from any iTunes on any computer, or do you have to do it from the iTunes on the computer in which you sync it to. I was wondering if I could use the iTunes on my computer at work to update the phone if it is released at 8am tomorrow.

well, you could use any computer to update it... but then you wouldnt be able to resync all of your data until you got home...
