I am stoked!! I just ordered a new 2007WFP from Dell. Should have it Monday or Tuesday. I am so looking forward to replacing my vintage ViewSonic 19" CRT. I also picked up some new logitec x230 2.1 speakers. My old beige yamaha speakers just would not match!!!

Good deals to be had as well. I picked up both the monitor and the speakers for under $400 shipped.

No probs, for better specs, at least from what I can see comparing them on the web sites, and about $350 less, I can live with it.

Right now it is on sale for 20% off of 459. Makes it $362 i belive. I also had one of those $35 off cupons from dell. With tax and free shipping I think I paid a total of $353 and change.

Sorry if this is a well-known fact, but do you have a reference for that?

Unless it is firmware driven, I don't think they are exactly the same. The specs are just a touch different. The dell has better response time, better brightness and better contrast ration from what I could tell. At least the values were all higher. An since I don't have an engineering degree, to me higher is better until I am told otherwise

My guess is a week, but I don't know when it started. The last time I saw a special similar to this, it ended on a Wednesday at like 8:00 pm eastern time. Don't know if this is the same though.

I've heard great things about this new batch of Dell flat-panels. I'm probably going to pick up the 2007WFP, but am so tempted by the 2407WFP.

Then again, twice as much money for 4 inches diagonal probably isn't worth it.
