Once you use a light MacBook Air do you find it hard to go back to using a heavier Macbook Pro? Yes or No?

Once you use a light Mac it's hard to go back

I owned a 15" MacBook Pro, then bought a 13" MacBook Air and owned it for about a year before I sold it and went back to the 15" MacBook Pro. It seemed unnaturally heavy for about a week or two, then I got used to the 15" MacBook Pro again. It's not that hard to go back, in my opinion.
I voted no because my macbook pro and macbook air complement each other and are used differently. My 15" I7 macbook pro is my main computer, and my 11.6" air is my portable laptop that I take everywhere with me.
Err, no it doesn't? It was a fine computer, I just needed a bit of extra money at the time. It was just about the same size and weight as the current 13" MacBook Air, so the comparison still stands.

Bought a MBA Rev A with HDD about a month after it was introduced. Kept waiting for a major revision (although RevB really was a major revision), but ultimately assumed that Apple had EOL'd the MBA experiment when April 2010 came and went with no new MBA announcement. I broke down and bought a 13" MBP when it was revised this spring, and an iPad for portability.
I have been missing my MBA ever since... so much so that I just bought a new MBA this week. The extra weight of the MBP is noticeable (though not horribly) and it is amazing how much easier it is to just slip my air into my small briefcase (almost as easy as slipping in my iPad.) I spent way too much time debating between taking the iPad or the MBP on trips and to work.
I will sell the iPad and the MBP prior to the next revision and should recoup most of the cost of those machines. The MBP is a great machine, but the MBA is the perfect compromise of size and capability for me.

I voted no. I had Rev B Macbook Air and kept it for 8 months. Due to the limited features I had to sell it and go back to a 13" MBP. Sure, I had to get used to the weight increase but that lasted less than a week. It goes both ways, I had to get used to the Air's lack of features since I was coming from a Powerbook with a lot of features so it balanced out. Going back for me reminded me what I lost, and weight wasn't one of them.

I have thought MBAs marked the future of laptops ever since the first one was introduced. The only reason I didn't buy one before the current revision is that the old models' 2GB of RAM and 128GB of storage were simply not enough to handle my requirements. Now, though, with 4GB of RAM and 256GB of flash storage I am able to run multiple Windows apps and multiple OS X apps simultaneously from the OS X desktop, thanks to VMware Fusion's Unity mode. This has meant that my 13 inch MBA has replaced my MPB as my all day every day computer. With it all, the MBA is on average less that .5 of an inch thick and weighs less that 3 pounds. Why, then, would I even consider going back to any of the much heavier MBPs?
I do occasionally use my MBP to copy CDs into iTunes but while I am waiting for a disc to finish copying into my iTunes folder, I am doing other things on the MBA, such as posting to MacRumors.

Yeah 128 is a bit small for big work. One reason I don't intend to use it as my main machine. I also very rarely use Windows with the exception to run a few games on it, but I relegate my MBP for that kind of side activity. Thank goodness, much of what I run, runs on OSX. I-work, Aperature 2, and Logic Express should leave a lot of room for other stuff since my other utils are small even compared to them.
In Store, all the floor models I've seen had 128 drives in them. However, they also installed the lions share of utilities on there. A heck of a lot more software than I own. Plus demo movies and the like. They pretty much install around 60 Gigs of data files and utility software on them leaving around 50+ free. That is, my estimate of software size after taking in account what is used up by the Operating System and iLife. My Macbook Pro OSX drive is currently using about 180 of the storage space I have in there, but it's also filled with everything I ever do, a deal of superfluous files, and almost nothing really removed or uninstalled.
I'm picking up the 11" Ultimate on Tuesday, at the latest. Most likely Monday night. It also pays that work has footed most of the bill to pay for one, this time. Money paid for it outside of salary.

Most definitely. I was dead set on keeping my base 11" and getting a maxxed 13" in August, and after having my 11" for only a week I've found that the 13" feels to large and heavy now. Crazy, huh? Looks like I'll be getting whatever the best 11" in August.
My girlfriend asked me to pass her 13 MBP from the coffee table earlier and I couldn't get over how heavy it was . When I had a 13 MBP I was always telling friends how light and slim it was, oh how things change

I have a 15 MBP and an 11 MBA. Two totally different machines, for two totally different applications. I do not consider the 15 MBP to be as potable as I need for traveling around the country. It worked fine when I did not have an alternative, but is no match for the pleasure of hauling the 11 MBA from place to place. Of course now I am filling that extra space in my bag up with other junk anyway.
