The left Airpod of my 2nd-gen Airpods that I've had for 14 months isn't working anymore. But the right Airpod still works.

I've disconnected and re-paired, reset my iPhone's network settings, cleaned the contacts in the case, all that stuff. And nothing. The left Airpod remains gone.

I also can't get the popup anymore on the Home Screen when I open the lid. It only shows up when I re-pair, as shown below.

Any advice?

Do you have another Apple device you can test these out with? If the issue persists, it’s the AirPod that has failed.


Knowing Apple, they’ll recommend you buy some new ones.

This is weird... I updated the firmware when it was released a couple days later... and now they're fixed!

Very strange... but I'm happy! :)
