One-click screenshot app for websites?

Hi all,
Quick question:

I use (and love) the little Firefox Plugin called ScreenGrab. It’s by far the easiest ‘minimal effective dose’ app I know of to make a screenshot of a site. Either the whole site or the visible part. It’s literally one click. No options, no filenames, no settings… no nonsense I don’t need. It just works :)

Now this plugin, is at this point the only thing that keeps me running on FireFox… But I’d really love to go over to Safari fulltime.It would simplify my life immensely.

Does anyone know of an app for OSX that’s as simple as ScreenGrab in taking website screenshots?

(I’ve tried the one Safari plugin but it sucks. I’ve tried switching to Chrome but I don’t like it as much as Safari… And most apps I see come with tons of options which means: no one click > done, but 5 steps to take and save a screenshot.)

Any tips or insights would be very welcome!
 
AwesomeScreenshot is quite nice.

It's not 1-click... you have to click the icon in the Safari menubar and choose to capture visible area, selected area, or full page. Then you have to click the done icon (or edit the capture with some basic editing tools). Then you have to drag the resulting image to your desktop (or save the image wherever).

Seriously I'm a screenshot pimp. I make probably 20 to 30 screenshots every single day, all kinds of screenshots and I have two (maybe three) apps for that.

1)
BrowseShot It's Free, old, out of development but it still works great. You gonna love it because it's a standalone app and not some plugin or extension for your browser that will hick-up your browser performance because it's always activated also when you don't us it at all.

2)
Annotate It's a few dollars but this tiny app should have been natively in OS X because it's so super handy. It hijacks your default OS X commands to make a screenshot and lives in the menubar. This is probably one of those apps that really needs to work from the menu bar instead of just being up there for show.
When you hit the native commands CMD + Shift + 3 or CMD + Shift + 4 this app will create a screenshot, open a window and let you annotate stuff onto it. When you're done highlighting stuff you can choose to (1) save it, (2) add it to your Dropbox or any other fancy cloud service or (3) simply drag and drop it straight into any image uploader (website) and you're done. Just close the app window and you're done. No need to delete any screenshot file from your desktop or stuff like that.

Pixave this app will probably become a great alternative to Photo's on your Mac and iOS devices at some day. It's still in early development and made by a single person but you can see improvements with every update. It also has a website browser within the app that let's you scan all images on X domain and grab them > add them to any collection. It's advanced, early development but already shaping to become a powerhouse.

I understand that you want one click screenshot... just mentioning it for a sanity check. Mac has built in screenshot command that saves the selection to the desktop, I use it all the time for receipts:

CMD + SHFT + 4

Or CMD + SHFT + 3 for the full screen.

I used to write for several Mac publications and websites, which is where I realized how valuable a decent screenshot app can be. I've tried quite a few, but eventually settled on Snapz Pro X for the day-to-day screenshots. I like the versatility, and the ability to record screen video as well.

For web page captures I use the previously mentioned AwesomeScreenshot most of the time, but I also found Paparazzi! to be really good. It's free, and offers a boat-load of options you can configure. Don't let the really old/cruddy website fool you.
 
Thanks for your suggestions guys. I have tried AwesomeScreenshot (which takes me 5 clicks to get a screenshot instead of 1... Im all about simplicity :), And Paparazzi! looked really, really dated to me... I don't think I could get it to work even...
Pretty sad that screengrab isn't there for Mac. It seems so simple to make... And I think compared with the other options it would save me hours of time on a yearly basis...

That entire post was a response to Shmoo. Paparazzi is a completely separate app, so it almost disqualifies it from your needs anyway. But for anyone else following: it isn't really dated, it looks and works perfectly fine under the latest Sierra betas. That's why I did say to ignore the website at the end of that paragraph. The site is using screenshots from a really old version (which I'll grant you is kind of ironic).

If it were that simple, I'm sure there would be a ton of people coding it. So I'm left to believe that it's either A) Not as simple as we think. Or B) There aren't many people who are willing to pay money so they don't have to spend more than 1-click to get a screenshot.

You must take thousands upon thousands of screenshots per year.

It takes me under 3 seconds to take a screenshot using my method. 3 seconds to take a screenshot would equal only 3 hours per year, or 3,600 screenshots (about 10 per day, every day for a year). So when you consider the total time is broken up into seconds and split up 10 times per day, it actually would save me almost nothing because I couldn't do much else in those "saved seconds." Maybe lift a coffee cup to take a sip... but not enough time to actually take the sip. ;)

Ok, so seriously now... Awesome Screenshot takes a single click to use—I'm not sure where you're getting 5 clicks from. And Paparazzi "looks dated?" Who cares what it looks like... you use it for 3 seconds at a time. You "don't think you could get it to work?" Really? Did you try? I'm not sure what part of double-clicking an icon and pasting a URL into a box would throw you for a loop here, but you know... maybe give it a shot—I use it under macOS Sierra and High Sierra with no issues.
