was that I had a widget set up on the home page which allowed me to have groups of phone numbers. Touch a group, say Sales... this would bring up another page full of direct dials which I would just touch once for the phone number to be dialled.

I recently moved across to iPhone 6 expecting to be able to do the same. Damned impossible or very difficult to find anything that works like this. There's plenty about direct dial of one contact, but nothing like the Grouping that I had with my Samsung phone.

I even purchased Launch Center, but can't figure that out either. It'll do everything else except something as simple as this.

If anyone has any suggestions I'd be grateful to hear them please.

The easiest and probably best way I've found is an app called Favourites Widget which you can download for free here

It supports individual contacts and groups and it gives you the widget with group support you want. It's a great app, especially for free.

There is an in app purchase to unlock more advanced and expanded features. It's reasonably priced if you need that stuff but the free version may well meet your needs as is.

I'm in no way connected to the app, it's not one of mine, I just like it.

That's done the trick Trueb, i was slightly bothered by the swipe down swipe left action (one too many...) until I realised that a fingerprint punch, maybe another punch to get the home then swipe left works as well. I've happily paid my dollar for the premium features as well. Thank you

Always happy to help in any way I can. Transitioning from a different OS can be a tricky thing when you've become accustomed to certain features.
