Say my phone is sleeping and I get a new email. My phone wakes up and the alert pops up on the center of my lock screen. When I go to slide to unlock, the phone freezes until it goes back to sleep. Once I hit the wake button, I can unlock the phone just fine. It only freezes when the alert first appears. This happens every time. Does this happen to anyone else? I want to try and pinpoint whether it's a tweak I have installed or if it's the jailbreak itself.

Thanks

Looks like it's biteSMS causing the problem. Deleted the app and its fixed. But I'd rather have the app, so I reinstalled it anyways. Hopefully it gets fixed

Same here. I disabled the mobile substrate BiteSMS options with SBSettings and that fixed it...but now BiteSMS doesn't fully work.

What is disabled in BiteSMS when you disable mobilesubstrate? It is diving me nuts.

I didn't test too much but when biteSMSsb was disabled, I lost quick reply and the ability to hide the default SMS icon. I went ahead and reenabled it and will just have to live with the bug. I posted about this over on the BiteSMS forum so it will hopefully get some attention and get fixed.

Not sure if this actually helps anyone, but until there's a decent update to stop this, I just turned off "view in lock screen" for mail. I have bulletin installed so I can still see my emails in my lock screen by plying down on the notification bar but it doesn't lock up the slide to unlock bar anymore.

Another temporary fix: instead of using the iPhone's Slide to Unlock, slide the actual message you want to open.

If you didn't want to read the message then you wouldn't be unlocking the phone. The bug only happens right when the message is first received and if you unlock an iPhone right when a message is first received it opens that message.

Oh ya I guess you're right... That's true. But I think it's done it to me when I slide on the email as well as the slide to unlock.
