Tried to download and install Yosemite last night. Blew half of my monthly ISP download allowance. Wouldn't install. Just sat there. Displayed messages with CMD-L. Nothing happening. Had to restore from SuperDuper backup.

Thanks for another crappy experience Apple. Wasn't iOS 8 bad enough?

If you're going to continue to give us this crap, at least you should provide thumb drives of the crap so we can actually re-try things without having to install fiber cable to our homes.

Many people without fiber don't have ISP caps...

Maybe if you politely detail your problem along with your specs someone could help you out. I'd take a shot of putting the installer on a thumb drive and doing a clean install.

I don't have a monthly cap on my £15.90 a month iPhone plan. Even with tethering, it's cheaper than DSL, twice as fast, and actually available, unlike fibre. Yosemite downloaded and installed just fine.

Why wouldn't you install fibre if you could? Not taking it up reduces the fibre company's revenue, making them less likely to give those of us who want it the choice. It would also allow you to download Yosemite again and again, in seconds.
