One of MBP lid clips don't work, uneven lid when closed. can it Perm flex the screen?

Hey I don't know how to upload photos onto this forum or a good site to host photos, but my left MBP hing doesn't connect with the slot on the palm rest, but the right one does. This leaves a small gap on the left side of the MBP. I don't mind it and can live with it, but my only concern is could the lid flex permantently because it's closed unevenly? Now I'm scared to close my MBP lid. Thanks in advance
