I have numerous shared photo albums and have not had any trouble until recently when the album I share with my girlfriend stopped updating.

I pretty much always add my photos from my iPhone, but on the 17th of May I had some photos on my iPad that I wanted to add. I added 14 pics and never really thought more about it. Since then I had been adding many more pics from my iPhone but I noticed that these never came in on my iPad. I then noticed that out of the 14 pics I added from my iPad, only 2 of those appeared in the shared album on my iPhone.

Today, my girlfriend told me she had recently added a bunch of pictures but I never got those on neither my iPhone or my iPad. I then asked her to check out which were the latest pics she had gotten from me in her shared album, and it turns out the 2 pics that successfully made it from my iPad to the shared album on my iPhone were also the latest pics she had gotten from me.

I have tried disabling and re-enabling the shared albums in iCloud settings on both my iPhone and on my iPad, but that doesn't seem to force update anything. I can also confirm that both my devices successfully receives photos in all other shared albums, and that Photo Stream seems to also sync pictures between my iPad and iPhone successfully (pics taken on iPhone show up on my iPad and vice versa).

Any clues as to why this one particular shared album could suddenly break and what I could do to fix it?

Apparently the album was full. iOS couldn't provide that information, but once I got to my Mac and tried adding a new pic to the album, it told me the album was full. So in case anyone else has this issue, there you go :)
