It's clear that a lot of the people on this sub-forum have multiple devices or change devices very frequently. From what's available on the market now, if you had to commit yourself to just one phone and one tablet for the next 12 months, what would you go with?

----------

I think I'd go with Xperia Z1 compact and iPad Air.

Note 3 and iPad Air, both of which I own. I'd be more likely to change my smartphone though than my tablet unless it is another Ipad. I have had my fill of android tablets.

Another vote for Note 3 and iPad Air. I really love my new M8, but I'd have to choose the Note 3 over my M8 because my job requires annotating PDFs everyday and the Note 3 is indispensable for that task. Luckily, I don't have to choose just one from each of my device categories! :D

If I HAD to choose RIGHT NOW, then I would pick iPhone 5S and iPad Air, but if I could wait a couple of months then Lumia 930 and Surface 2.

P.S. My tablet has to integrate with my phone, and I would never pick an Android tablet (just personal preference), that's why there aren't any Android phones on my list.

It makes everything more seamless. I like how I can do something on one screen and then continue on the other. Right now I have a Note II and an iPad 2, they are so disconnected. Also, integration only improve with updates, which would mean that every time my devices get an update, I get a more connected experience overall on all my devices, not just one. I also like having a similar design language on my devices.

I've got an iPad and an S4 - I barely use the iPad. Only on holiday, really.
